actress Eva Mendes wanted to be a nun as a child. His fascination with the religious life ended, however, when Mendes's older sister informed him that being a nun was an occupation strictly nonprofit.
According to 411 Mania, Mendes, who grew up in economically disadvantaged circumstances, he dreamed of buying his mother a house and a car when she grew up. When his sister told him that "the nuns do not get paid" Mendes was disbelief. And disappointed. She changed her career plans immediately.
Although he could have chosen a different lifestyle to which she imagined herself as a child, Mendes never abandoned his desire to help others. Today, she returns through various charities and the Art of Elysium, "which helps children in hospitals heal through art therapy."
