Eva Mendes


Mini Biography

Eva Mendes was born in Miami, Florida but raised in Los Angeles of Cuban-American heritage. In college she began acting, studying underneath acting coach Ivana Chubbuck. This led to her desire to appear in feature films. Though taking many smaller roles in movies, she was little known until playing the girlfriend of Denzel Washington's character in Training Day (2001). Since then she has been featured in a wider range of roles, from comedic to dramatic. These gave her the ability to work with many highly regarded directors, such as Robert Rodriguez (Once Upon a Time in Mexico (2003)), Carl Franklin (Out of Time (2003/I)), John Singleton (2 Fast 2 Furious (2003)), Antoine Fuqua (Training Day (2001)) and the Farrelly Bros. (Stuck on You (2003)).

Eva has co-starred in an independent film, The Wendell Baker Story (2005) with Owen Wilson, Luke Wilson and Will Ferrell, with Luke Wilson directing. Before that, her biggest movie was Hitch (2005/I), a romantic comedy that had her playing opposite Will Smith.

Marriage is boring

It appears horny Eva Mendes has no want to be legally tied down anytime soon. The 36-12 months-old beauty has been courting Peruvian filmmaker George Augusto since 2002 but insists she never needs to get married.



"No, no, no. I don't know if I need children, however the idea of marriage sounds very boring to me. I've to be honest," she said frankly. "And no disrespect, as a result of I think marriage is a stupendous institution... I'm extraordinarily romantic however I think there is a little rebel inside me that's anti-establishment. It is just one more enjoyable thing I can insurgent against."



While we'll probably never see Eva in a big white wedding costume, the Hollywood star admits she does enjoy watching her buddies say 'I do', but largely loves hitting the dancefloor at the reception. "I really like going to a marriage," she said. "I do that thing - I name it wedding ceremony dancing. I don't know what occurs to me however I just dance in a method that I've by no means danced before. I am the very best particular person to have at your wedding but I just do not ever want to be the precise individual getting married."

Eva Mendes and Julianne Hough attended for The Artwork of Elysium’s 4th Annual Black Tie “Heaven” Charity Gala 2011 at the California Science Middle in Los Angeles on Saturday night.


Mendes wore an ethereal rose coloured gown with soft draping from Valentino for the evening affair. Hough wore a royal purple one shoulder gown with beaded waist detailing and excessive slit in the skirt. The evening included dinner, a Vogue fashion show and the “Spirit of Elysium” award to James Franco

The 36-year-old actress - who is in a relationship with filmmaker George Gargurevich - by no means rushes into making a decision and insists everything she does is designed to take her a step ahead in her life plan.
She explained: "World domination is my goal. There's always a technique to my madness - folks see me as a totally random kind, but I am actually incredibly calculating on the subject of my career.


"If I do topless Calvin Klein commercials it is as a result of I've realised it is time to turn up the warmth when it comes to my sexuality. Nothing I do is casual; it's all methodical.


"I'm just unsure what my technique is. All I know is that it is part of a master plan for me to rule the world. I'll settle for nothing less. I don't want to go anyplace however there. That's my true destination."


Eva is so devoted to her career and getting ahead, she admits she will be able to't bear to take holidays as a result of she hates having a break and he or she refuses to mirror on any previous choices she has made.


She told Dwell journal: "By no means look behind you - that's the best bit of recommendation I ever received. It got here from my athletics coach in high school. He made me realise that if I did glance behind me when running, even that millisecond of distraction could lose me the race. Since then I've lived my life never wanting back.
